Our business is built on trust, and we take responsibility for our operations and its impact on society, employees, and clients.Values and Ethics Code
We operate in 58 countries and employ approximately 370,000 people globally; being a responsible company is a priority to us. We conduct our business in an ethical manner, consider our environmental impact, and offer high quality services. In this manner, we strive for all areas of our operations to be sustainable.
Our Values and Ethics Code serves as guiding principles in the below document for our work and helps us to uphold and promote a high ethical business standard. Securitas aims to be a responsible, honest, and transparent company and we encourage an ongoing dialogue with our stakeholders: customers, vendors, stockholders, employees, and the communities in which we live and work.
This commitment is practiced on a local, regional, national, and global level - in every country in which we serve. For us - responsible business is good business.
Securitas Integrity Hotline
Securitas' core business is integrated security solutions and our operations are based on three fundamental basic values: Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
Reporting system for employees
We are proud of our employees and want them to know that their voices are important. We rely on them to help us by reporting any situations that threatens our core values, ethics, and reputation. When an employee reports non compliance and concerns, he or she provides us with the information necessary to remedy the situation. To do this we created a hot line for employees to report any concerns.
Additional channel of communication
The Securitas Hotline www.securitashotline.ca or 1-866-528-6556 is available 24/7 and is not meant to replace the responsibility of management, it is a complement. We encourage our employees to report their concerns to their supervisor, manager or local HR representative. We provide this additional channel of communication to allow our employees another way to voice their concerns.
Cases of non-compliance
All reported cases of non-compliance with Securitas' Values and Ethics, no matter what channel the report came through, are investigated and documented. Securitas has a Securitas Integrity Reporting Policy that sets out investigation responsibilities and response times, and informs about data protection rules.
Case statistics and details are reported to the Board of Directors' Audit Committee and to Group Management.
