Requirements to become a security guard at Securitas
To deliver consistently high-quality, professional service, Securitas and Canadian law set clear standards for all security jobs, including strict requirements for anyone applying to become a security guard. Security guards are often the first representatives of Securitas. You are expected to be reliable and responsible, to treat everyone with respect, and to always represent Securitas professionally.
To apply, you must:
· Must be at least 18 years old
· Be legally allowed to work in Canada
· Have a clean criminal record
· Be able to obtain a provincial security guard licence
· G Driver's license - For mobile positions
· Ability to read, write, and speak English
· In Quebec and some other areas, French or bilingual (EN/FR) is often required
